Vdownloader not working

I have downloaded a lot of vidoes/clips from Pornhub but all of a sudden it gives me the following message.

"Unable to obtain required intial about this video"

I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it but still not working.

PLEASE HELP

i have the key, but where to put the key, there is no place to put the key to plus vdownloader

(1) I updated VDownloader recently and now only find a fraction (say around 10%) of my previously downloaded videos in VDownloader.

(2) Newly downloaded videos don't show either. However, they are present in the download folder and can be opened with conventional video players.

Would appreciate your assistance. - is there any file index that need to be updated or any option to scan the download folder?

Previous versions of VDownloader did not show this problem and displayed all my downloaded new and old videos.

I have reported this previously, but maybe I wasn't clear enough or didn't give you enough options. In the configuration section that relates to the formatting of filenames for downloaded files (i.e. Configuration ==> General ==> Downloads ==> Filename format for downloaded files"), you show as 1 of your options, "%res%.

The example shown, when this option is selected depicts the output filename would add a string as shown here:

04:05:00

However, that is impossible, because Windows won't let you use any of the following characters in file or folder names:

\ (backslash), / (forward slash), : (colon), * (asterisk), ? (question mark),

" (double quote), < (left angle bracket), > (right angle bracket), | (vertical bar)

So, downloaded files cannot be formatted in this way. Just now, as a test on version 4.5.2562.0, I tried to download an MP3 of "Theme from a 'Summer Place'", which is 2 minutes and 23 seconds long, and the program returned the string, "00 02 23" (i.e. no colons).

Previously, I suggested for you to use a format such as "99h99m99s", while also zero-suppressing leading zeroes, as well as suppressing unimportant leading segments.

Examples of this would be:

4h05m00s, rather than 04h05m00s for 4 hours and 5 minutes

5m00s, rather than 00h05m00 to represent 5 minutes and 0 seconds

15s, rather than 00h00m15s to show that the clip is only 15 seconds long

So, in this way, you only show only significant fields, which is very readable and saves space as well.

However, if you don't want to do that, if it is too difficult to program, or you just don't like the look, please consider either 04-05-00, or 04.05.00 as alternative output formats, though dashes might give the impression you are depicting a date.

As it is, you are showing a format that cannot be displayed as shown so, which is not only confusing, but incorrect. Still, another, final option (other than to ignore me again) is to show the format as it REALLY would be displayed, not as you are showing now. However, that format requires me to edit every single filename for every file I download.

i dont know why it doesnt download certain vids. theyre all coming from youtube. and the icon on the comp isnt the logo thing anymore its just a blank paper thingy, whats up with that? any ideas why it wont download some vids or what i can do to make it work? plus its laggy.

VDownloader stops in the middle of downloading youtube videos. Gives an ERROR status. The bottom window says :"unable to parse video info". I'm currently using ver 4.4.2350.0. I've been using VDownloader with great success in the past. Please help.

copying url address

in previous versions of vdownloader when i copy a url of a video from youtube . for example, I then launch vdownloader and find that url is copied into your app, but newest version does not copy what i have copied before launching the app. I should recopy the url while your app is pre-lanched

i hope to resolve that clipboard problem

The current version of VDownloader is unstable. It hangs up every time I try to view a clip with it. I then have to use ctl.+alt.+del. to get out of the program.

I try to download PornHub video but it is not working

I try to download PornHub video, and all I get is '[Critical] Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.'. Using free plugin version 4.3.2229.0.

All videos I tried are public, and other download managers can download them.

Automatic Launch at every startup

the option "launch VDownloader at the startup" is disabled but every time I boot my windows VDownloader is lunched itself!! Then take off automatic lunch at the boot it steals RAM and connection. I have to close every time VDownloader at every boot of Win and anyway some vdownloader.exe continue running in background...

I would launch VDownloader when I need not when it want itself

Hello, i'm having problem with the latest version. The downloaded mp3 is with poor quality. I've tryed with different settings and changed bitrate but without success. Please check it. Thanks
