I recently updated my VDownloader program per the upgrade notification I received when I opened the program. Now when I try to open VDownloader (free edition) I get the following error message: "Vdownloader4.exe not a valid win32 application". My operating system is Windows XP Pro, SP3. What do you suggest I do?
I was happy with my previous version of VDownloader. Is they a way that I can install the previous version? I will not be changing my operating system because I have some hardware that does not have drivers for operating systems later than XP Pro.

Please upgrade to Windows Vista or later to use VDownloader.
Microsoft has stated that: "After April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or technical support for Windows XP. Security updates patch vulnerabilities that may be exploited by malware and help keep users and their data safer. PCs running Windows XP after April 8, 2014, should not be considered to be protected, and it is important that you migrate to a current supported operating system – such as Windows 10 – so you can receive regular security updates to protect their computer from malicious attacks."
With that in mind, we can no longer support Windows XP.
