I can't find a working link to VDownloader on my desktop although it still shows up in "Control Panel" Programs

I have paid for VDownloader Plus and have been using it for about a month. Today (3-18-16) I clicked on the icon to take me to the program and it says that the shortcut has been moved or renamed. I checked my list of programs in my computer's control panel and it shows that VDownloader is there. What has changed since yesterday? How do I continue to open and use VDownloader?

I just re-checked and VDownloader says "We are sorry to see you go". It's as if your program thinks it was deleted. It still shows up in my computer's Control Panel though. Version 4.2.1820  133mb.
