Dear Mich DeSkunk,

Thank you for your feedback.

It is in our plans to add a checkbox within VDownloader's installation process which will allow you to choose whether you want to run VDownloader on system startup or not.

It will most likely be ready in the next update. Thank you for your patience,

right. cause in options already exists this option but doesn't work really!

Dear Mich,

I'm sorry about that. We're working on the fix.

In the meantime, please follow these steps:

  • Press Windows key + R simultaneously. It will open a "Run" window.
  • Type "msconfig" without the quotation marks
  • Go to "Startup" tab.
  • If you're using Windows 8/10:
    • Startup tab will prompt you to open another window, located in "Task Manager".
    • Find VDownloader entry, and disable it.
  • If you're using Windows 7:
    • This tab will have numerous entries. Find the one that says VDownloader and uncheck the checkmark besides it.
    • Save and Exit.

Let me know if the issue persists.

this bug is still exist. I have to close vdownloader every time. Furthermore ffmpg.exe uses a lot of CPU sometime!

Hi Mich,

Can you please take a look at VDownloader upper right-hand corner and tell me which version you're running?
