Upgrading vDownloader Plus from v4.1.1388.0 to v4.2.1800

Dear Sir/Madam

I would appreciate your help in an issue I have just encountered.

Today I tried to update my vDownloader Plus s/w. When I tried to install it, the following error appeared

\temp\'tmp9958.tmp.exe' cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.

My pc is Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit.

I have continuously upgraded my s/w as and when updates become available. For some reason it's not allowing me to do that.

The version I currently have is v4.1.1388.0 & fails when it attempts to update to v4.2.1800

I would appreciate if someone could contact me so this issue can be resolved.

I wonder if anyone else has encountered this issue. If so it would be great to hear if there is a solution to this issue.

Dear Anup,

Instead of updating via VDownloader, can you please close VDownloader, download the installer from http://getvdownloader.com and see if it installs correctly? That will also give you 4.2.1800.0 .
