no audio on playback

I am unable to get audio playback with latest two versions, 4.4.2350 and 4.5.2562

I am able to download successfully, however, no audio is present when file is played

I have downloaded version 4.3.2229 on 4 of my pc's and that version works fine.

Is there a configuration setting in the new format, on the latest two versions, that needs to be activated to achieve audio when playing the file.

Hello, pp

Can you, please, advise us the exact URL you are trying to download and your chosen conversion profile (drop-down in the top right corner of the VDownloader window)?

When I install versions 4.4.2350 and 4.5.2562, it does not matter which URL I select there is no audio when replaying file.

The chosen profile is Simple - Music

I have set the profile the same as I had with the previous version installed, I'm not sure which version that was as I did not think it necessary to keep a note of that version.

I thought by installing version 4.3.2229 that it may solve all my problems. I am now able to get audio from the URL's that would not play audio on the two latest versions.

However, another issue is appearing with version 4.3.2229, this being that most URL'S will neither play or download, with a message showing; "The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden."

I hope you can help as I have been using (and recommending) Vdownloader for the last few years.

Thanks pp

Hi pp,

Sorry for the delay. We have successfully located the issue and managed to fix it.

We will be releasing an update in the next 24 to 48 hours which will contain the fix for this Audio issue.

Also, we do not recommend installing older versions as those usually have other bugs that were fixed in subsequent versions and we cannot guarantee that VDownloader's older versions will work. For example, that 403 error will show up for most of YouTube's URLs if you use a version prior to 4.5.2588.0. This is because YouTube has recently made some changes to their website's backend, and this was fixed by us less than 24 hours later (via an update).

Please kindly wait for the update with the Audio downloading fix to be released. When that happens, VDownloader will prompt you to update as always.

Best Regards,

Diogo Alves @ VDownloader

6 days ago you advised an updated version of Vdownloader would be released to fix audio problem, in 24 to 48 hours.

There appears to be no updated version as yet, could you advise when the new version will be released.
